(C) The reaction between aniline $(C_6H_5NH_2)$ and benzenediazonium chloride $(C_6H_5N_2^+Cl^-)$ is an electrophilic aromatic substitution reaction known as coupling reaction. In this reaction,the diazonium ion acts as an electrophile and attacks the electron-rich ring of aniline. Since the $-NH_2$ group is strongly activating and ortho/para-directing,the electrophile preferentially attacks the para-position due to steric hindrance at the ortho-position. Thus,the major product formed is $p$-aminoazobenzene,which is a yellow-orange coloured dye.
